Healthy Living expo returns
The Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber's Healthy Living Expo returns Monday at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center at 2525 Rochester Road from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, and brings local providers of lifestyle goods and services together for a day of learning and celebrating healthy living.
“We promote healthy living, and we allow the business vendors that are in the health industry to come and promote their business,” said Annie Cairns, marketing and events director with PNRC. “The vendors range from all over and it allows them to get in front of our local community to promote health living in our area.”
Visitors can explore a variety of booths from the chamber's many health and wellness organizations, including Allegheny Health Network, Anthology of McCandless Senior Living, Cranberry Township EMS, Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Hefren-Tillotson Inc., and St. Barnabas Health System.
Cairns said the event has around 27 vendors scheduled this year, and in past years it has drawn around 500 visitors.
The township also will host a number of fitness classes in the gym inside the Municipal Center, including a cardio barbell class at 8:45 a.m. and a vinyasa yoga class at 11:30 a.m.
Visitors can also donate blood inside Council Chambers at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building during the event. Flu shots are also available at the St. Barnabas booths in the Town Square center of the municipal building.
“With the blood drive, appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome,” Cairns said. “With the flu shots, it's just walk-ins, you don't need an appointment.”
