Developer buys land in Cranberry Apartment complex planned

CRANBERRY TWP — Radnor Property Group Tuesday announced its acquisition of land on Brandt Drive in the township for the purpose of building a 264-unit, multi-family apartment complex.

Plans for the 13.5-acre development include a six-building residential community with a private courtyard for gatherings, fire pits, gas grills and a pool. Residents will also have access to other amenities, including a fitness center, a club lounge with kitchen and fireplace, conference rooms, game rooms and work space.

Walking trails are planned throughout the wooded property, connecting to a larger bike path network within Cranberry. Covered parking will also be available in the property’s secure garage.

The development has already commenced construction and is expected to open in phases between 2022 and 2023.

Pieper O’Brien Herr Architects designed the community with features including 9-foot ceilings and balconies in every unit, stainless steel appliances, wood cabinets, quartz countertops and under-counter mounted stainless steel sinks. HRG served as civil engineer and landscape architect for the project, and DGA Builders of Rochester, N.Y., is the construction manager.

“Cranberry is a dynamic market with a diverse employment base, ample retail offerings and convenient highway access to Interstate 79 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike,” said Tim Gigliotti, managing director at Radnor. “The Brandt Drive location offers easy highway access to professionals working throughout greater Pittsburgh.”
