The Moniteau School Board is poised to promote from within to hire a new superintendent at its meeting Monday.

The meeting agenda posted Friday on the district's website includes a recommendation to appoint Aubrie Schnelle as superintendent at a prorated annual salary of $130,000 effective from Nov. 6 through June 30, 2024.

Schnelle's current position in the district is assistant principal of the junior-senior high school, according to the district's website.
