Kingerski nets pair of goals in 3-1 victory

Nick Kingerski scored a pair of goals Tuesday as the Slippery Rock boys soccer team defeated Riverside, 3-1.

Hunter Berry tallied the other goal for the Rockets (11-3-2). Connor Wallace had three saves in goal.

Slippery Rock hosts Karns City Thursday night.

Karns City 6, Sharon 0 — All six Gremlin goals were scored in the second half. Bradon Slater and Myles McCully scored two goals each.

Colson Ritzert and Lathan Price also scored for Karns City (14-2). Luke Yasika got the shutout in goal.

Freeport 3, Burrell 0 — The Yellowjackets won this match 25-15, 25-12, 25-11. Butler sophomore Wyatt Kos finished with an 8-over 79 and tied for 34th. Kos was the first Golden Tornado golfer to participate in the state playoffs in over 15 years.Downingtown West's Nick Gross defeated North Pocono's Billy Pabst in the second hole of a playoff, with both golfers carding a 2-under-par 69.
