Callihan goal gives KC 3-2 win

Jacob Callihan scored the winning goal with 33.7 seconds remaining Saturday as Karns City rallied to a 3-2 boys soccer victory over Franklin.

The Gremlins, who picked up their 12th win of the season, trailed 2-0 at halftime.

Colson Ritzert scored KC's first goal, heading in a corner kick from Myles McCully. Mallick Metcalfe scored the tying goal with less than five minutes to play. His shot came from 20 yards out.

Natalie Mason, Madison Rose and Chloe Weiland scored goals for Butler in a 3-2 section win over Pine-Richland.The Golden Tornado improved to 12-1-2 overall, 6-1-2 in section play. Butler concludes the regular season Monday at North Allegheny.Karns City 6, Hickory 2 — The Gremlins improved to 13-2 on the year as McKenna Martin scored three goals and added an assist. She now has 45 goals on the season.Emma Dailey and Ally Fennell both had a goal and assist while Paige Dodd netted a goal. Addy Christie, Taylor Miller and Lyrik Reed added assists.

Rosie Carden had two kills, 12 assists and six digs, but Karns City dropped a 3-0 decision to DuBois at home.Scores were 25-18, 25-14, 26-24.Ashley Fox contributed two aces, three kills and 11 digs, Natalie Hess four kills, Jessica Dunn two aces and four digs, Emma Johns two kills, three assists and three digs, Amber Maurer three aces, for kills and five digs, Ava Fox four kills, two blocks and nine digs.
