Karns City beats Brookville

Myles McCully scored twice and Adam Smith added a tally from a difficult angle in Karns City's 3-1 boys soccer win against visiting Brookville Thursday night.

Smith added an assist for the Gremlins (11-2).

Football

Bailey Crissman threw a pair of touchdown passes and Union/A-C Valley allowed only a score on special teams in a 20-6 win at Cameron County.

The Red Raiders (4-3) returned a punt for a touchdown to take a 6-0 lead in the second quarter, but Crissman responded with his first scoring toss, a 23-yard strike to Ryan Cooper late in the first half that tied the game.

Dawson Camper added a 22-yard scoring run in the third quarter.

Crissman, who completed nine passes for 121 yards, capped the scoring with a touchdown pass to Skyler Roxbury.

Mikey Card rushed for 104 yards on 12 carries in the victory.

Cooper and Carter Terwint both made eight tackles to lead the defense.

The Falcon Knights improved to 6-1 with the win.

Girls Soccer

North Catholic closed the regular season with a 1-0 win over South Park.

Lindsey Pawlawski scored off an assist from Jayden Sharpless.

Rylee Kumer had seven saves for the Trojanettes (14-1).

Franklin Regional 3, Knoch 0 — Grace Foehringer stopped 17 shots for the Knights (2-9, 4-10) Wednesday night.

Macrina Robb and Emma Slusser tallied all five of Knoch's shots.

Girls Volleyball

Karns City swept a meeting at Union by the scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-23.

Rosie Carden posted three kills and eleven assists. Emma Johns notched seven kills and nine assists, while Ashley Fox recorded 15 digs.

Stats for Union were not available.

Shaler 3, Butler 0 — Megan Penrod totaled 20 digs for Butler.

Audrey Lehman contributed three kills and four blocks and Kaela Malis four kills in the 25-13, 25-19, 25-18 loss for the Golden Tornado (4-6, 6-7).

Clarion 3, Moniteau 0 — The Bobcats earned this win by scores of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-20.
