BUTLER — West Brady Street will be closed intermittently next week as pre-work begins on the Sullivan Run control project.

Butler city Councilman Bob Dandoy said at Thursday's meeting that the first step is the relocation of a gas line, which kicks off the run's clearing process that will take “a little while.”

Building code official John Evans said during the meeting that the project site will go through some construction phases before being completed.

“Once it's installed, they have to do testing of the existing line,” Evans said. “It has to pass the test, and then once that happens they will start connecting all the service customers up to the new line, and once that is completed they will do the reconstruction of the road.”
