Oct. 4 — A sport-utility vehicle driven by Timothy E. Barron, 43, of Butler and a Freightliner truck driven by Ishmael Ayamma, 42, of Columbus, Ohio, were involved in an accident on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Barron was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed. The Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Department and ambulance service also responded.Oct. 1 — Sport utility vehicles driven by Jessica R. Byers, 34, of New Bethlehem and Victoria N. King, 18, of Greensburg were involved in an accident on Route 8 in Center Township. King, whose vehicle overturned after striking a curb, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.Sept. 24 — Kevin O. Fowler, 27, of McKnight was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with injuries after the car he was driving south on West Sunbury Road in Center Township struck a guard rail and then an embankment.Aug. 20 — Charges are pending against a 20-year-old man from Reading for allegedly taking a motorcycle owned by Jake McDowell, 20, of Bethel Park from Vineyard Circle in Slippery Rock Township and leaving it behind the Walmart in New Castle.Oct. 5 — Shauna May Cress, 35, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and three summary traffic violations following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Center Township on June 11.Oct. 4 — William Valentine McCollums IV, 28, of New Castle was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of simple assault and two counts of harassment for allegedly assaulting two women in the parking lot of the Rock House on Route 8 in Clay Township on Oct. 2.Oct. 7 — Angela Nichole Stietenroth, 25, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, promoting prostitution and a summary traffic violation following a traffic stop in Butler on July 2. When asked about the suspected marijuana, $805 in cash, a scale, a box of plastic bags and other items found in her vehicle, she allegedly told police her boyfriend pays her when they have sex.Oct. 5 — Terry Paul Duncan, 50, of Renfrew was charged with DUI and four summary traffic violations following a traffic stop in Butler on Aug. 21.Oct. 2 — Keith Robert Pack, 43, of Butler was charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in Butler on May 30. Gary L. McMasters, 44, of Lyndora was charged with DUI, five counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and two summary traffic violations stemming from the same traffic stop. Pack, a passenger in the vehicle, and the vehicle were searched after police said they learned he was wanted on a warrant. He claimed ownership of a white stamp bag containing suspected heroin that was found in the ash tray and a pipe found in his pocket, police said.Police said they found five additional white stamp bags containing suspected heroin in a compartment under the front seat center console.

Oct. 4 — William Joseph Hatfield, 19, of Pittsburgh was charged with recklessly endangering another person, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, disorderly conduct and harassment following an incident on Shore Street on Oct. 3 when he allegedly drove his car into a vehicle being used by a woman who has a protection-from-abuse order against him, police said. A small amount of marijuana and three and a half Percocet pills were found while searching him, police said.Oct. 1 — Mason Daniel Hodgkiss, 30, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance after police saw him at a gas station on West Jefferson on Aug. 9 and verified that he was wanted on a warrant. Suspected cocaine was found in his wallet, police said.
