Locals fare well in harness racing

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Butler County enjoyed plenty of success during harness racing action Wednesday at The Meadows.

Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown guided All Day Sunshine to victory in a $12,000 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace. He teamed with trainer Steve Schoeffel of Evans City to drive Curry Hanover to a win in a $7,500 Conditioned Pace. Virginia and Kathy Schoeffel of Evans City are part owners of Curry Hanover.

Trainer Mitchell York of Cranberry Township enjoyed a win when Tiamogonedancen scored a victory. It was the horse’s 20th lifetime win and York is co-owner of the 3-year-old filly.
