Instead, evict bungling elected officials

The free housing given to anyone not able or willing to pay the rent they agreed to is scheduled to come to an end at the same time as the fiasco in Afghanistan.

If you hated watching the mismanagement of the withdrawal of our troops, you are going to love this story.

It seems all the bleeding hearts are coming out to plead for leniency for the people claiming they don’t have the money to pay rent.

Someone needs to explain the story about how employers can’t find anyone to work rather than collect welfare.

But the real crime in this handout program was the initial design didn’t get the money from the government money tree to the building owners or managers, but instead to the tenants.

Is it any surprise that the money never got where it was intended?

Then there is the even worse reality that the states failed miserably at getting the federal funds given to them distributed to anyone, not even the wrong people.

New York and its former stellar governor, Andrew Cuomo, failed to distribute any of the money prior to the end of May. South Carolina distributed 6% of its allotted $272 million.

A total of 16 states have distributed less than 5% of their funds, and nine states less than 3%.

But let’s jump all over the mean, awful landlords who are asking for their rent payments after almost two years. Shame on them. Don’t they know we have important things to debate, such as whether voting machines were rigged or whether elections were stolen, and which of the two elderly men would have been worse for our country?

Don’t be fooled by the talk about people being tossed into the streets for not paying rent. It hasn’t happened, but if it does, let’s hope they start with the elected officials taking up space in the various government offices but failing to do the jobs they were handed.

Now that is a place to point some well-deserved shame.
