Young scores 8 in goalball victory
TOKYO — Slippery Rock University alumnus and United States men's goalball team captain Calahan Young scored eight goals in a 13-5 win over Algeria Sunday at the Paralympic Games.
The win guaranteed the U.S. a berth in the quarterfinals.
Young leads the team with 12 goals in three games. He logged 28 blocks in 24 minutes of playing time Sunday.
