Aug. 18 — James Stump, 31, of Logan, Ohio, was charged with false alarms to public safety agency, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness for allegedly activating the fire alarm at the Comfort Inn.Aug. 18 — Maranda Dunn, 19, of Zelienople was not injured after her Kia Sportage hydroplaned on Route 422 east, near the Duffy Road overpass; she lost control of the vehicle, spun and hit the center concrete barrier, police said.Aug. 13 — Brittany Irvin, 29, of Butler was charged with theft for allegedly stealing a wallet at the Days Inn.
July 28 — A resident of Bruin Road in Petrolia reported the theft of a Ruger P89, magazines for the gun and 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition from his vehicle.Aug. 17 — Sydney N. Benes, 20, of Erie, suffered serious injuries after the car she was driving traveled off Ralston Road in Slippery Rock Township, struck a boulder, went airborne and struck a utility pole on the driver's side, police said. She was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. The Slippery Rock and Unionville volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.Aug. 16 — A car driven by Felicia M. Green, 43, of McKees Rocks, traveled off Interstate 79 in Jackson Township and overturned. She was taken to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The Harmony and Cranberry Township volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.Aug. 13 — Concord Township reported the theft of about nine green and white street signs from various locations in the township.
