Harvest Church, with locations in Kittanning, Petroleum Valley, Natrona Heights and Indiana, Pa., will host a community worship and block party from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Fairview Ballfield in Petrolia.
There will be bounce houses, food trucks, games, live music and a worship service.

The Butler County Sheriff's department is warning people to be wary of a phone scam telling people they have failed to appear for federal jury duty.According to a news release from Sheriff Mike Slupe, the callers use court-related language and say they will meet you or you can call with non-traceable payment options. If you question them, they will use foul language, threaten you and bully and intimidate you.The number that displays is 724-508-3323, and they use the names of law enforcement officers from throughout the state. The sheriff's department staff has blocked its number and called the scammer repeatedly to fill their voicemail.If you happen to receive such a call, hang up immediately. If you are a victim of this scam, notify your local law enforcement agency.

The Butler YMCA is distributing backpacks and school supplies from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 18.Union Home Mortgage Foundation, which has a branch in Seven Fields, is donating the backpacks and supplies for the giveaway.
