Middlesex Township police continue to investigate the Saturday robbery of a Middlesex Township bank.

Township police responded to the robbery call around noon Saturday at the Northwest Bank.

According to multiple reports, a man wielding a gun entered the bank and stole money.

Representatives from both state police and the FBI said they were called to assist at the scene, but noted the township department was leading the investigation.

State police said they specifically were asked to utilize their Forensic Services Unit for processing the crime scene.
