Cannon hired by Gannon baseball
ERIE — Mars graduate DJ Cannon has been named head baseball coach at Gannon University.
Cannon was head coach at Chatham University the past two years, compiling a 14-33 record. Chatham won 12 games under Cannon in 2021, the program’s first year ever with double-digit wins.
Gannon was 18-17 overall last season and was eliminated in the first round of the PSAC Tournament. Cannon replaces Greg Coleman, who was 135-102 overall, 82-55 in PSAC play, in six seasons with the Golden Knights.
