If you were here today, your friends would be

Thinking about the best way to help you celebrate.

Though you’re far away from us on your birthday,

We still remember our joy 40 years ago.

You brought us life and laughter and love,

And our lives were changed forever the day you were born.

For all that you were and all that we miss,

Of the longing to hear your voice and hold you again,
