Butler Twp. knocks off No. 1 seed
Butler Township toppled No. 1 seed Freeport, 6-5, in the second round of the Butler County Area Baseball League playoffs Thursday night.
West Sunbury eliminated East Butler from the tournament with a 10-2 win.
Cranberry Township and Pine Richland played in the other winner’s bracket game Thursday, but no score was reported by press time.
The playoffs continue Saturday.
