Butler’s own Jeff Carey will appear as the charismatic “rainmaker” Starbuck in Freeport Theatre Festival’s production of “The Rainmaker,” a tale of romance and hope, written by N. Richard Nash and directed by Jennifer Bronder. Performances run Friday, Saturday and Sunday from July 17 to 25 in FTF’s newly air-conditioned theatre on the Steele Farm, 2498 White Cloud Road, two miles south of Freeport off Route 356 in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County.
