Brown gets strange win at The Meadows
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock’s Brady Brown found a new way to win Thursday at The Meadows.
By finishing second.
Brown and 3-year-old filly Always Be Cool did just that in a $9,500 Conditioned Pace. But when Sassy Blue Chop, who crossed the wire first, was disqualified for interference, Brown and Always Be Cool were declared the victors.
Evans City driver Shawn Johnston brought home a huge 70-1 upset by piloting Crazy Fun to the win in an $8,900 Conditioned Trot.
