A Butler teen who ran away last week has been located by the Butler City Police Department and released to a family member, a trooper with Troop D in Butler said in a Wednesday email.

A Monday news release from the state police's Troop D in Butler state asked the public to watch for Charles Joseph Brookbank, 14, who had been last seen at 7 p.m. on Thursday in Butler.

According to the Monday release, the youth's girlfriend told police she spoke with Charles that night at a city fireworks display, which he subsequently left.
