BC3 board votes to raise wages
The Butler County Community College’s board of trustees voted Wednesday to approve wage increases for all administrators and professional/technical employees and voted on several other personnel matters.
All administrators and professional/technical employees will receive a one-time $500 payment and salary increases based on performance reviews. The wage increases cannot exceed 2.75% of the total adjusted 2021-2022 salary pool for the positions.
For the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the salary increases based on performance reviews cannot exceed 1.5% of the total adjusted 2022-2023 salary pool for the positions.
“They will not receive a one-time payment in the second year,” said Jessica Matonak, executive director of communications and marketing.
The board also approved extending the tenure of president Dr. Nicholas Naupauer’s to June 30, 2025. Naupauer’s salary as of July 1 is $261,284, and he will receive the one-time $500 payment and the 2.75% wage increase.
The board also voted to extend bargaining agreements for education support professionals and the campus police department to June 30, 2023, and for maintenance, shipping and receiving and custodial employees to June 30, 2022.
Maintenance, shipping and receiving and custodial staff will receive a 2.75% raise to base salary and a one-time $250 payment for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
Likewise, police and secretarial employees are to receive a 2.75% increase to base salary, and a one-time $250 payment in the first year.
In the second year, those employees agreed to a 1.5% increase to base salary and a one-time $450 payment.
