It's our first Father's Day without you here.

Our hearts hurt being unable to celebrate you by your side, though we still celebrate the gift of a father that you were to us.

You were the best dad in the world and we'll hold on to all that you've taught us and how you've helped us to become the people we are.

There's less joy and laughter now that you're gone, so we'll hold to the hilarious moments we've shared.

We miss you more than words could accurately depict, and that's hard.

But we know you're being celebrated by the love of your life, Ginny, and your dear grandson, Jacob, in the presence of Jesus. Full of joy.

And though we miss you today, and every day, we yearn for the day when we all will meet again.
