44 students awarded Armco CU scholarships

The Armco Credit Union awarded $22,000 in scholarships to 44 local graduating high school seniors.

The students were selected from 79 qualified applicants based on academic and extracurricular achievement. Students attending colleges as well as vocational schools were eligible.

This is the fourth year the credit union has provided scholarships for higher education.

Armco Credit Union launched a companywide initiative providing educational resources for members and the community several years ago. It has invested in two web-based resources: Banzai provides financial literacy articles and coaching for all ages, and Edmit calculates the value of a college. The credit union also sponsors a financial literacy program in all Butler County high schools. Any high school teacher may access these materials at no cost. Visit armcocu.com and look under the LEARN menu for free educational resources.
