LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University senior Danielle Collier has been named PSAC Female Field Athlete of the Year after winning the Division II national championship in the javelin.

Collier, a Hickory graduate, tossed the javelin 174 feet, 6 inches in winning at nationals. She was the PSAC’s lone female track and field national champion this year.

Collier was also invited to compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials June 25 at the University of Oregon.
