Janie and Tom Turk

Tom and Janie Turk of Chicora celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Turk married the former Janie Hemphill on April 17, 1971, at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.

They have two children, Heather (Allen) Rumbaugh of Chicora, and Jessica (George) Kelly of Chicora.They also have four grandchildren.Turk retired in 2012 after 40 years at Witco.Mrs. Turk retired in 2011 after 25 years at Butler Memorial Hospital.She is a member of St. Clare of Assisi Mater Dolorosa Church.The Turks enjoy winters in Florida, golfing, traveling and cruising. They are planning a trip for later in the year.They especially enjoy spending time with family and friends.
