Popular spice adds pizzazz to chicken

I was looking for a new way to dress up boneless, skinless chicken breast. The spice called Everything but the Bagel is becoming very popular. It adds lots of flavor. It can be found in the spice section of the supermarket. It’s a mixture of sesame seeds, dried onion flakes, garlic powder and poppy seeds. You can make your own using equal amounts sesame seeds and poppy seeds and a little less (about 3/4 amount) of the remaining ingredients.

The spice mixture is also good on salads, veggies, steak, pork or added to dips.

Helpful Hints

n You can use chicken tenders or cutlets instead of chicken breast.

n Use any type of waxy potato such as yellow or gold for the potato salad.

Countdown

n Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

n Prepare ingredients and coat top of chicken.

n Cook the chicken, turn and coat bottom of chicken.

n While chicken roasts, make potato salad.
