1 COVID-19 death in county reported

Area residents continue to get vaccinations

The state Department of Health reported one new COVID-19 death for Butler County since Friday.

The health department also recorded 33 new cases for the county over the three-day period of Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The Department of Health reported that 413 people have died from COVID-19 in total in Butler County.

The total number of confirmed cases in the county stands at 10,994.

Butler Memorial Hospital on Monday reported one death related to COVID-19.

The number of vaccines administered continues to grow.

Pennsylvania has administered 9,723,128 vaccine doses as of Monday, according to the Department of Health. That includes both doses for some people and one dose or the first of two doses for others.

In Butler County, 14,906 people are partially vaccinated, and 75,833 are fully vaccinated, the health department's website says.

Butler Memorial Hospital is treating five confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, and one patient is in the ICU. Clarion Hospital is treating one confirmed case.

Butler Memorial Hospital now offers the vaccine to those age 12 and older at the Butler and Clarion vaccine clinics.
