Schmidt helps team win AMCC crown
ERIE — Freeport graduate Ashleigh Schmidt pitched six scoreless innings and struck out seven in the first game, setting up Penn State Behrend for a sweep of their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference softball title series against Mt. Aloysius.
Behrend won the games 2-0 and 10-0 and will advance to NCAA regional play May 21.
