Blauser breaks her own record in LJ
Junior Baylee Blauser shattered her own A-C Valley school record in the girls long jump with an effort of 18 feet, 3½ inches Thursday afternoon against Redbank Valley.
The leap eclipsed her previous mark of 17-6½.
In 2019, the Class 2A state champion had a 18-1½ mark. Blauser finished eighth at 17-1.
Blauser also won the triple jump in the Falcons' 112-33 loss.
Tanner Merwin won three events for the A-C Valley boys in a 105-41 setback.

Caiden Schmitt drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Mars to a 4-3 win over Penn Hills.Alex Heavner went 2-for-3 with a home run and double and Trey Wagner went 2-for-3 with a triple for the Planets, which swept the two-game section series against Penn Hills.JJ Wetherholt got the win in relief, striking out two in one inning of work.
