Ex-Pirate coach Miller dead at 76
PITTSBURGH — Former Pittsburgh Pirate pitching coach Ray Miller, who held that position from 1987-96, died Wednesday at age 76.
No cause of death was given.
Miller helped Doug Drabek win the National League Cy Young Award in 1990. He also guided five 20-game winners and two Cy Young Award winners in eight years as pitching coach of the Baltimore Orioles.
