Maryann Ackerman won three events and the Slippery Rock High School girls track and field team won the Hermitage Invitational Saturday.

The Rockets scored 120 points in winning the girls meet. Host Hickory finished second. Slippery Rock's boys tallied 69 points in finishing fifth. Grove City won the boys event.

Ackerman won the shot put with a heave of 33 feet, 5 inches. She took the discus with a throw of 108-4 and the javelin with a toss of 123-4.

Anna Kadlubek won the 100 meters in 12.86 seconds, the 200 in 27 seconds. Gianna Bedel won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 6 inches.

On the boys side, Seaton Wozniak won the discus with a throw of 147-6.
