Serendipi-Tea will open in Saxonburg
SAXONBURG — The Serendipi-Tea tea room will have a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 at its location at 224 W. Main St.
Owner Ashley Stadelmaier said from 10 a.m. to noon there will be a children’s event with a snow queen character. High school violinists will play for customers from noon to 4 p.m. Amber Cepec, a Freeport High School senior, will play from noon to 2 p.m., and Knoch High School junior Pierce Lokar will play from 2 to 4 p.m.
The tea room is an intimate space that will host dress-up children’s tea parties. Stadelmaier said Serendipi-Tea has 60 princess and tea party dresses available for use. After getting their hair and nails done, children can snack on pastries from local Saxonburg vendors.
The tea room hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays until June 9, when hours will expand to 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. On weekdays, the business will host high tea for people who make reservations as well as walk-in customers. A ladies night is planned for May 15 featuring organic wine tasting and hand massages.
