BUFFALO TWP — When Lernerville Speedway opens its 2021 season Friday night, the Sprint car division will run its 999th feature race at the Sarver oval.

Lernerville has existed for more than 50 years. Its first Sprint car race was May 10, 1968, and 146 different drivers have claimed Sprint feature wins there.

Several of the retired previous winners will be on hand to greet fans during a pre-race autograph session.

The 1,000th Sprint feature will be April 30 as part of the Tony Stewart All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint touring series.
