Butler’s junior varsity hockey team has advanced to the PIHL Tier 2 tournament championship game, defeating Seneca Valley, 5-2, in the semifinals Thursday night.

Brayden Povlick and Parker Worsley both had a goal and assist for the Golden Tornado. Andrew Roskovski, Adam Deal and Nathan Holland added goals, Rocco Pellegrino and Owen Denny assists.

Luke Barry and Stephen Vaughan scored for Seneca Valley, assisted by Colton Forster and Blake Collet.

Butler plays North Hills in the championship game at 9:20 p.m. Friday at the Ice Castle in Castle Shannon.
