NEW WILMINGTON — Freeport graduate and Westminster College freshman Lauren Lampus was named to the all-tournament team following the Titans' 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference women's volleyball championship win over Grove City.

Lampus had a career-high and match-leading 23 digs in the victory as Westminster won its second straight PAC crown.

Mars resident Matthew Ferraro has been named a National Wrestling Coaches Association Division II Scholar All-American.Ferraro is a sophomore 149-pound wrestler at Mercyhurst University. A wrestler must have a minimum 3.4 grade point average to qualify for Scholar All-American.Ferraro is one of eight Mercyhurst wrestlers to earn the honor.

SLIPPERY ROCK — A number of Slippery Rock High School athletes have been accorded District 10 region honors.Sophomore swimmer Grace Olshanski made first team Region 1 in the 100-yard freestyle. Junior wrestler Tony Pilosi made first team at 215 pounds.Olshanski in the 50 freestyle and the Rockets' 200 free relay team of Ashley Shea, Natalie Double, Kate Shea and Olshanski made second team. SR wrestlers Ryan Double (113 pounds), Nick Ayres (120), Justin Pearce (160) and Landen Shaffer (285) also made second team.
