2:24 p.m. April 10 — Police responded to a car fire on Heinz Road, near Route 422.Police said Jordan Rose, 30, of Butler, was driving the vehicle as it caught fire. He was not injured, and Butler Township Fire District extinguished the fire.8:36 a.m. April 10 — Police responded to a three-vehicle accident on Route 8 in front of Bon Aire Plaza.Police said a vehicle driven by Edward Conner, 22, of Sligo, sideswiped one driven by Thomas Colosimo, 75, of Butler, while trying to change lanes. The collision sent Colosimo's vehicle into a third one driven by Samantha Govan, 23, of Valencia.No one was injured in the crash, but Conner was cited for causing the crash.4:48 p.m. April 6 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on the westbound on-ramp of Route 422 near Moraine Pointe.Police said Mont Mechling, 48, of Girard, Ohio, suffered minor injuries when his vehicle rear-ended one driven by James Duff, 70, of Butler.Mechling was cited for speeding. No one was taken to the hospital.

4:57 p.m. April 8 — Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 8 in Mercer Township.Police said a tree branch fell on top of a pickup truck being driven by Preston R. Hagerman, 26, of Kennerdell.Police said Hagerman was not injured, but the vehicle needed to be towed.April 3 — Police began investigations into a stolen gun.Police said the victim is a man from Fenelton, whose .380 Ruger pistol was stolen from his vehicle, a 1994 Honda Accord, on McLafferty Road in Clearfield Township over Easter weekend.Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-284-8100.2:08 p.m. March 30 — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on North Duffy Road in Center Township.Police said Vicky A. Gould, 77, of Butler, was driving south and tried to turn left onto a driveway, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. Gould was cited for causing the crash.Police said a vehicle driven by Joann C. Lytle, 74, of Butler, struck the side of the turning vehicle. Lytle suffered minor injuries, but was not taken to the hospital.The crash also damaged a third, parked vehicle, which was not occupied during the incident.
