CLARION — Seneca Valley graduate Claire Zimmerman pitched 3.2 innings and scattered four hits Wednesday in helping the Slippery Rock University softball team salvage a split of a doubleheader at Clarion.

The Rock (3-15, 3-15) won the second game, 11-2, after dropping a 3-1 decision in the first game. Zimmerman posted her second win of the season.

Mackenzie Freeman and Cami Fisk had four hits each for SRU on the day. Clarion is 7-11, 5-9.
