Three Butler County varsity hockey teams will compete in the PIHL playoffs, which begin Monday with quarterfinal action.

In Class 3A, Seneca Valley (No. 5) will take on North Allegheny (No. 4) at 6:30 p.m. at Baierl Ice Complex.

In Class A, Freeport (No. 5) will face McDowell (No. 4) at 7 p.m. at Frozen Pond.

North Catholic (No. 8) will meet Indiana (No. 1) at 7 p.m. at Kirk Nevin Arena.

Butler dropped a 17-6 decision to Hampton Thursday night.

Evelyn Vissari scored five goals for the Golden Tornado with Becca Allison adding one. Lauren LeGrand made 13 saves.
