KIDz Safety Training is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. April 10 at Makowski’s Martial Arts and Fitness Center in Sarver.

The event will teach children how to react in “stranger danger” episodes.

Youths ages 6 to mid-teens will develop situational awareness and confidence in dealing with real-world challenges.

Handling problem situations and improving thinking, reactions and ability to communicate about them will also be a focus of the event.

Students will be physically and mentally engaged in the program.

Special guests, emergency equipment and a silent auction also are planned.

The cost is $20 per students.
