Seven Fields plans to host community carnival, festival, and food truck nights
The comeback of Seven Fields' summertime events would cure even Eddie Cochran's blues.
Despite their cancellations last year, Seven Fields plans on resurrecting the summertime community carnival; beer, wine and music festival; and Wednesday food truck nights for July and August 2021.
According to borough manager Tom Smith, the Seven Fields Community Carnival is currently scheduled for July 1, 2 and 3, with live music planned each night, fireworks by Pyrotechnico and rides, attractions and concessions by C & L Shows.
Smith said the borough hopes fewer restrictions will be in place by July given the current pace of COVID-19 vaccinations across the nation and in Pennsylvania.
“I think folks are anxious to get back out to some semblance of normal life,” he added.
In addition to the three-day carnival, the annual beer, music and wine festival will be on tap for July 24 and the borough's food truck nights will resume July 28 and occur each Wednesday in August.
The events, which were originally slated to occur last summer, were canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 capacity restrictions, and a hesitancy by the vendors to operate with that limited capacity.
