Thursday — Jessica Trinkley, 33, of Butler, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and retail theft after allegedly stealing from Walmart.Police said Trinkley tried to leave without paying for about $98 worth of items. Police said they also found Trinkley with a controlled substance.

Tuesday — Michael Savakes, 49, of Valencia, was charged with misdemeanors of simple assault and terroristic threats.According to charging documents, police were responding to a domestic dispute at a Middlesex Township home, when they spotted Savakes driving away from that area. Police said they took Savakes into custody while they continued to investigate the incident.According to charging documents, Savakes allegedly broke a number of items in the victim's home. He also allegedly spit in her face, threw a candle at her and told her he was going to burn her home down with her inside it, among other threats.

March 22 — Ron Kobik, 41, of Saxonburg, was charged with misdemeanor terroristic threats from a domestic dispute.According to charging documents, police responded to a report of a a threat with a firearm at a child custody exchange. The documents state Kobik was at the victim's home and became angry with her. According to documents, the victim thought she saw the outline of a handgun beneath Kobik's shirt.According to documents, the victim asked Kobik to leave, and her daughter relayed a threat Kobik had said earlier. The victim was granted an emergency protection from abuse order against Kobik.

4:53 p.m. Saturday — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 in Worth Township.Police said neither driver was injured in the rear-end crash. According to police, Timothy E. Turner, 42, of Meadville, in a Pontiac Grand Prix hit the rear of a GM Sierra driven Matthew R. Nesbit, 28, of New Castle.According to police, Turner was taken into custody for a suspected DUI.4:28 p.m. Wednesday — Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on School Street in Bruin.Police said Layne D. Kriebel, 34, of Petrolia, was uninjured in the crash but was charged with leaving the road. Police said Kriebel fell asleep at the wheel, drove off the road and hit a tree. The vehicle was towed from the scene.3:21 a.m. Tuesday — Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Mars Evans City Road in Forward Township.Police said Madeline L. Heiferman, 19, of Cheswick, drove her car off the road, hitting a guardrail and two trees. Heiferman was uninjured in the crash, but she was cited for leaving the road. The car was towed from the scene.
