Butler's Brown snaps 100, 200 meter records
Guinness Brown has found his way into the Butler track and field record book — again.
After shattering Golden Tornado indoor records, the junior ran the 100 meters in 10.72 seconds and the 200 in 21.65 seconds Friday at Pine-Richland. Both are Butler outdoor records.
Despite missing seven potential point-scorers due to quarantining under COVID-19 precautions, the Golden Tornado rolled to wins of 121-29 over Pine-Richland and 115-32 over Knoch.
Butler's girls also won, defeating Pine-Richland 93-57 and Knoch 139-10. Emma Lehman won both hurdle events and anchored the winning 4x100 relay. Megan Baggetta won the long jump and triple jump.
