Food distribution set for Saturday at A-C Valley
The U.S. Department of Agriculture will distribute about 200 fresh food boxes to families from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Elementary School.
The boxes, which are free to anyone on a first-come, first-served basis, normally include milk, produce, cheeses and other foods that vary at each distribution event.
There are no income requirements to receive the boxes. According to a Facebook post by Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District, families are encouraged to take boxes to families without convenient transportation and to sick or quarantined persons.
