Lowrie House, schoolhouse open
The Butler County Historical Society will reopen the Sen. Walter Lowrie House, 123 W. Diamond St., to the public beginning March 24.
For the immediate future, hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays or by appointment.
The society plans to open the Little Red Schoolhouse, 200 E. Jefferson St., for scheduled tours beginning June 6.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions and the small dimensions of the schoolhouse, tours are limited to five people at a time.
To schedule a tour, call the society at 724-283-8116 one week in advance of any planned visit.
