UPMC, Pens launch drive-up vax clinic

UPMC and the Pittsburgh Penguins continue their COVID-19 community vaccination event series, launching a drive-up vaccine clinic at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township on Wednesday, March 17.

Residents of northern Allegheny County, including Cranberry Township, and parts of Beaver and Butler counties, have been scheduled for 500 first-dose appointments Wednesday.

Those with appointments drive up, confirm their appointment, get the vaccine and park for 15 minutes while UPMC nurses and lot attendants observe those just vaccinated. There will be UPMC personnel and signage directing them where to go. All community members will stay in their vehicle unless told to do otherwise.

For all UPMC COVID-19 vaccination clinics, an appointment is required, and walk-in requests cannot be accommodated. It is advised community members with appointments arrive 15 minutes early. Register at vaccine.upmc.com.
