3 p.m. Friday — Police responded to a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Sparks Avenue and Highland Avenue in Butler Township. Police said they spoke with the uninjured driver, Gloria Beechey, 83, of Butler, who said she lost control of the vehicle, which then hit a tree. The car was towed from the scene.2:30 p.m. March 9 — Police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 356 and North Duffy Road in Butler Township. Police said Patricia Blom, 42, of Butler failed to stop for a red light and hit a vehicle driven by Jeanne Lefever, 64, of Saxonburg.There were no injuries reported, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 — Police and the Clarion County Sheriff's Department served an arrest warrant for David J. McGiffin, 24, of Sligo, Pa.Police said McGiffin fled on foot and during that time threw a loaded firearm into the rear parking lot of the Super 8 Motel, located at 138 Pittsburgh Road.Police said they caught McGiffin, and he was further charged because he was a felon carrying a firearm without a license.3 p.m. June 10 — Police arrested and charged Kyrah L. Carey, 22, of Pittsburgh, in relation to an investigation into stolen jewelry from a home on Decatur Drive. Carey received multiple charges related to the theft.

12:40 a.m. Saturday — A 24-year-old Slippery Rock woman was arrested and charged with DUI, stemming from a traffic stop on Route 173 at its intersection with Stoughton Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said she was driving a 2010 Jeep.12:33 p.m. Friday — Michael Dietrich, 30, of New Castle, was arrested for suspicion of DUI, stemming from a traffic stop on West New Castle Road in Muddy Creek Township. Police said they observed Dietrich to have signs of impairment when they stopped him in a 2003 Hyundai.4:57 p.m. Thursday — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Grant Avenue Extension near its intersection with Valvoline Drive in East Butler. Police said Brendan Howe, 22, of East Butler, failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled his 2014 Hyundai Sonata into the intersection, where it was hit by a 1992 Ford F-250 driven by Todd A. Cowoski, 51, of Chicora.No one was injured in the crash, and Howe was issued a traffic citation.12:35 p.m. Thursday — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 68 at its intersection with Bonniebrook Road in Oakland Township. Police said the driver of a 2020 Ford F-150, David M. Mariotti, 59, of Petrolia, rear-ended a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Richard D. Stewart, 55, of Chicora. Police said Stewart had been slowing down at the time. Police cited Mariotti for following too closely.March 9 — Travis J. Adamski, 24, was charged with a first-offense DUI and other related traffic citations stemming from a Feb. 20 traffic stop in Brady Township. According to charging documents, police stopped Adamski because he was driving 30 mph in a 55 mph zone.Police said when speaking with Adamski, they smelled marijuana and saw a jar with suspected marijuana sitting in the center console.Police said Adamski submitted to field sobriety tests, which indicated he was impaired.According to documents, a blood draw took place at Butler Memorial Hospital, but the results were not listed in the affidavit.March 8 — Ryan Hepler, 32, was charged with a first-offense DUI and other related traffic citations stemming from a Jan. 21 traffic stop in Butler. According to charging documents, police stopped Hepler in a Subaru Outback because the taillight was not lit and the registration was expired.Police said as they approached the vehicle to talk with Hepler about the stop, the vehicle began rolling backward. Police said they then put Hepler through field sobriety tests, which indicated he was impaired.Hepler was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, where a blood draw showed he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.174% as well as the presence of marijuana in his system, according to documents.7:41 a.m. Feb. 24 — Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Main Street near its intersection with West Concord Street in West Sunbury.Police said Linda L. Stoops, 60, of West Sunbury was making a left turn and lost control of a 2007 Subaru Outback due to icy conditions. Stoops was alone and uninjured in the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene.4:13 a.m. Jan. 14 — Police responded to the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Beaver Dam Road near its intersection with Chrie Lane in Clay Township. Police said Cole W. Christy, 37, of Slippery Rock, lost control of 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, left the road and hit a tree. Police said Christy then fled the scene. Christy was cited.
