Butler City Council completed the following actions at Thursday’s meeting:

Approved closing Main Street and West Penn Street for the Butler Road Race sponsored by the Butler YMCA from 8:15 a.m. to noon June 19.

Voted to terminate the employment of Heather Blair, a tax bookkeeper in the treasurer’s office. City officials said she began working for the city part-time in 2001 and became full-time in 2013, but declined further comment.
