Bednar makes debut with Pirates
BRADENTON, Fla. — Mars graduate David Bednar made his Grapefruit League debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates Monday, tossing a scoreless inning against Toronto.
The right-hander struck out two and did not allow a hit in a 2-2 tie with the Blue Jays.
Bednar was acquired from San Diego as part of the Joe Musgrove trade earlier this winter.
