Slippery Rock University plans on face-to-face classes in the fall
Fall semester classes at Slippery Rock University will begin Aug. 23 with in-person classes in socially distant classrooms and capacity limits in dormitory rooms.
“I expect that we will still be wearing masks when we are together, and we may have to restrict very large gatherings, but we will be together, in person,” SRU President William Behre wrote in a letter to students last week.
He said the university's plans are based on the assumption most people will be vaccinated by the start of classes, but mitigation efforts including mask wearing and on-campus COVID-19 testing will be in place.
