Butler High seniors can earn free college credits
Seniors at Butler Senior High School can earn free, transferable college credits at Butler County Community College through the College Pathway pilot program being offered in the Butler Area School District.
Seniors can earn free BC3 credits in select courses each semester while pursuing additional credits in an elective course at their own cost during morning sessions on BC3’s main campus.
A three-credit college writing course and a one-credit college study skills class will be offered this fall, and a three-credit writing course next spring.
Seniors can transfer BC3 credits toward an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree at many public, private and online four-year colleges and universities.
Seniors will be transported to BC3’s main campus each morning, Monday through Friday.
Funding, which will also cover books, tuition, fees and transportation, will be provided by the school district and partially by the BC3 Education Foundation.
More information on the program can be found at bc3.edu.
